Development Standing Professional Committee (SPC)

Greeting IMA Members!  As co-chairs of the Marketing SPC, it is our charge to program workshops and opportunities that will maximize your potential, so you can lead efforts to better develop audiences and fundraising efforts at your institution.  IMA has done an excellent job of bringing all of our resources together for the common good, and we hope to cultivate these resources in ways that serve every IMA member, and their individual needs.

Thank you for allowing us to serve you, and we hope to bring you the most intriguing educational opportunities in the areas of marketing, brand recognition, fundraising, event planning and much more during 2007 and beyond.

Exhibits Standing Professional Committee (SPC)

The Exhibits and Collections SPC strives to offer a variety of workshops throughout the year.  We know that many of our member museums are small and mostly operated by volunteers.  Our workshops offer opportunities to learn ways to make your museum even better!

Museum Stores Standing Professional Committee (SPC)

The Museum Store Committee intends to meet two to four times a year in locations around the state of Iowa.  We hope to help stores stand out in a competitive marketplace by: improving their missions to act as an extension of their museum; to keep informed with non-profit tax status and regulations and to help position the museum store as an educational resource with proper products, carefully trained staff and targeted marketing efforts.

Please contact us with any suggestions or questions!
