Morgan-Bailey Consulting, LLC began providing consulting services for museums in the state of Iowa in 2002.   The business has refined it services into providing consultation on exhibit topic selection, script and artifact selection; designing floor plans, case and wall layouts and creating original designs for graphic panels, logos, promotional materials and simple interactives for its museum clients.

A native of Davenport, Iowa, Jennie Bailey graduated from Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Art.  She worked for several years as a visual merchandiser for department stores until returning to college to pursue a Masters degree in Historical Administration from Eastern Illinois University, Charleston, Illinois.

Immediately after completing her degree Bailey began her museum career as an exhibit designer for the State Historical Society of Iowa.  While there, she designed over ten major exhibits ranging from 2,500 to 10,000 square feet.  Two of the exhibits, Hay Days: The Horse in Iowa History and A Few of Our Favorite Things: 100 Creations of the 20th Century received national recognition for excellence from the American Association of State and Local History, (AASLH).

As an employee of the State, Bailey served on many committees, determining long-range plans for the Society; producing special events and as the museum representative to the Historical Resource Development Program (HRDP) in which she became project manager and co-author of the book: The Field Guide for Museums.

Bailey is currently an Adjunct Instructor in the Museum Studies program, teaching museum exhibit design at the University of Iowa in Iowa City.  In the Fall of 2007 the exhibit class successfully researched,
designed and constructed a 300 foot exhibit at the Johnson County Historical Society, Coralville, Iowa.
