The Iowa Museum Association annually holds a statewide conference to provide professional development and networking opportunities. The Annual Meeting of the Iowa Museum Association is also held during the annual conference, which moves around the state.
October 7-8-9, 2018 - the IMA Conference will be held
in Cedar Falls, Iowa, on the campus of the University of Northern Iowa.
The UNI Museums & Rod Library, UNI Gallery of Art, James & Meryl Hearst Center
for the Arts, Cedar Falls Historical Society museums, and Hartman Nature Reserve
will all host conference sessions and events. Country Inn and Suites, South Main Street, is
the conference hotel. Details - see side menu bar.
Full conference registration for IMA members is $225.
Full conference registration for non-members is $290.
Full conference registration for IMA student members is $125. Sunday Emerging Professional events are free of charge.

Plan Ahead - Conference Dates for Three Years
October 2019 - the IMA Conference will be held in Fort Dodge, Iowa
October 18-20, 2020 - the IMA Conference will be held in the Quad Cities, Iowa. The conference hotel is the Radisson Quad Cities. Reservations in the room block will be available until Wednesday, August 19, 2020. www.radisson.com/davenportia or 800-333-3333. The Figge Art Museum will provide the conference venue. Receptions and events will be held at the Putnam Museum, German American Heritage Center and Family Museum.
