Celebrate our Strong Roots and Thriving Communities in Des Moines!
The Association of Midwest Museums (AMM) and Iowa Museums Association (IMA) invite you to join us in Des Moines, Iowa on July 12-15, 2017 to celebrate the long history of museums in the Midwest and explore the role and impact of museums in their communities. As seen in Des Moines, museums working collaboratively with other organizations can transform a city into a vibrant arts community and help it to become a destination for young and old.
The 2017 AMM Annual Conference and Meeting “Strong Roots and Thriving Communities” will include a diverse line-up of workshops, sessions, events, and keynote speakers. We will also be bringing back Community Flash Talks featuring Iowa movers and shakers as well as introducing a few new activities in the spirit of our theme of “community,” including group yoga in the morning and an emerging professional networking event.
