The Historical Society of Marshall County is seeking a Docent/Tour Guide for the Edel Blacksmith Shop in Haverhill, Iowa. This is a paid part time position for 1-3 days a week from noon-4p with a need to be flexible. The Edel Blacksmith Shop is open for tours 7 days a week Memorial Day thru Labor Day. We will train.

The Edel Blacksmith shop closed its doors in 1940 when Matt Edel died and the doors stayed closed until the family donated the property in 1986 to the State of Iowa Historical Society. It is truly a step back in time and a gem. The property is managed by the Historical Society of Marshall County. This would be a great opportunity for a high school or college student or a retiree or actually anyone looking for something to do for several days a week during the summer.
