IMA provides support for Iowa's museum workers at all levels.

Students, emerging and mid-career professionals, and seasoned veterans.   Volunteer led organizations and those who employ staff.

IMA Plugged-In and workshops - IMA Plugged-In is a series of free lunch-time zoom presentations.  In person workshops are temporarily suspended due to the coronavirus.

Annual Conference – The Iowa Museum Association annual conference is held at a different location in Iowa each year.  Two and one-half days are packed with networking opportunities, career conversations, and educational sessions.  Exhibitors are on hand to showcase their products.  Scholarships – Each year the IMA offers three scholarships so first time attendees may attend the Annual Conference.

Emerging Professionals  - Emerging Professionals find support through an annual meeting at the IMA Conference,  "Career Conversations", and an opportunity to submit a paper to present; and the IMA's Facebook page Iowa Museum Emerging Professionals.
